Health service managers and administrators plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the delivery of health and social services in a variety of settings. Managers may be clinical specialists in charge of a specific department or service, or they may be generalists who manage a project or an entire facility or system. We prepare future health services managers to deal with the needs of an ageing population, integration of health care delivery systems, technological innovations, an increasingly complex regulatory environment, restructuring of work, and an increased focus on primary and preventive care.
