Description of Professional Accounting
If you are from a non-accounting background, the Master of Professional Accounting conversion program will give you the training in accounting and related areas needed to meet the full academic requirements for membership to the Australian professional accounting bodies. You will gain the technical and conceptual skills needed to become an accountant and will develop your ability to analyse, critique and synthesise various accounting and related principles, methods and techniques.
Students completing this program and the examinations conducted by CPA Australia satisfy the educational requirements for CPA membership and will be eligible for full CPA membership upon completion of three years of mentored work experience.

Requirements for Professional Accounting
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Professional Accounting, a student must:
- Hold a bachelor degree, other than an Accounting degree, from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale)
Students applying for the Master of Professional Accounting who hold a degree from an overseas institution must have this award recognised by AEI-NOOSR as equivalent to an Australian degree.
Work Experience for Professional Accounting
No work experience is required.
