Students completing this program and the examinations conducted by CPA Australia satisfy the educational requirements for CPA membership and will be eligible for full CPA membership upon completion of three years of mentored work experience.

You will be qualified for work in government administration, business planning, cost and management accounting, auditing, information systems, taxation, finance and banking, stockbroking, treasury, foreign exchange, superannuation, consulting, insurance, and manufacturing. Griffith University recognises various forms of work integrated learning (WIL). Courses in this program provide WIL opportunities in the form of applied projects, case studies and virtual/simulated environments. Some students in the Master of Accounting may be able to complete a Work Integrated Learning course as an elective.

Requirements for Accounting

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Accounting, a student must:

    Hold a Bachelor degree in accounting from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale) plus be eligible for Associate membership with CPA AustraliaHold a Postgraduate degree in accounting from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale) plus be eligible for Associate membership with CPA Australia

To be admitted to this program, students must be eligible for Associate membership and enrolment in the CPA Program. Students must apply to CPA Australia for Associate membership and enrolment in the CPA Program before enrolling in any CPA-related postgraduate course.

Work Experience for Accounting

No work experience is required.
