Description of Extended course classes
To successfully complete the Standard, Intensive or Extended programs you need to pass eight units or more.
Your unit combination must include:
- Unit 1 and 2 of EnglishUnit 1 and 2 of two other subjectsand at least two additional units.
Please note that units specific to the Extended program are additional subjects and are not included in your final Foundation Year score.
Standard course structure
The Standard course allows you to study the widest range of subjects.
We encourage you to study one extra, optional subject each semester for bonus points. When you finish these extra subjects you'll receive a bonus 1.25 per cent of each unit score added to your final Foundation Year score.

Requirements for Extended course classes
Your academic results will help us work out whether you enter the Standard, Intensive or Extended program.
You will also need to check the age, subject and course prerequisites before you apply.
Minimum age is 16 years.
If you do not meet the age requirements, you may be offered a deferred place.
English language requirements
You will meet the English language requirements if:
- You have completed Australian Year 11.Your Australian Year 11 equivalent program was taught in English.You achieved satisfactory grades in your English language subjects.
Work Experience for Extended course classes
No work experience is required.
